KU guard Adams announces plans to transfer

Freshman guard Rio Adams announced on Twitter that he plans to transfer from The University of Kansas.

The 6-foot-3 reserve posted on the site, “I’m transferring to another school and will be getting released Tomorrow…. I love this team no matter what !!! I’ve learned a lot here!!”

Adams had posts on Facebook and Twitter earlier this season regarding his lack of playing time with the Jayhawks.

He hasn’t announced where he plans to transfer.

■ There have been times this basketball season when impatient Kansas fans wondered how Perry Ellis might look in a Wichita State uniform.

■ Hold off, please, on starting any transfer rumors.

■ The celebrated Wichita freshman played as aggressively against Baylor on Monday as he has all season.

■ “Right now I feel like Perry is trying to take a step as far as what he’s trying to do at Kansas,’’ said teammate Elijah Johnson.

■ Just wait. Shots will start falling and Ellis will become a factor for the Jayhawks. He’s got game.
