OKLAHOMA CITY — Kansas isn’t the type of team that can easily overcome a large, early deficit.
The Jayhawks fell four runs behind Oklahoma after three innings of the Big 12 Baseball Championship and couldn’t recover as the Sooners captured the title with a 7-2 victory Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
“I thought we were in it all the way to the end,” KU outfielder Michael Suiter said. “Even when we were down, it was early. Our energy in the dugout was still good.”
