Despite Another Loss, Kansas Defense Making Strides

By Andrew Curtis Coming off a devastating loss at home in week 2 to Rice, nobody knew what to expect from Kansas going into a matchup with 16th ranked TCU, and certainly didn’t anticipate a close game going into the 4th quarter. The Jayhawk defense came out fast and furious, swarming to the football, getting stops when they needed to and displaying a bend-but-don’t-break mentality. Jayhawks focusing on accountability after Rice let down

By Trevor Graff Kansas fans left Memorial Stadium after Saturday’s matchup with the Rice Owls feeling a lot like the Jayhawk fans of old. The fans that spent the majority of their time breaking down losses and saying wait until next year. Chris Boswell, the Owls’ Lou Groza Award watch list kicker, blasted a 45-yard field goal through the uprights with two seconds remaining to seal the Jayhawk loss 25-24.
