LAWRENCE — Frank Mason didn’t have a whole lot to say.
When asked about his play in Kansas’ two exhibition tilts, Mason simply answered “pretty good.”
Even as Mason finds himself the focus of many conversations heading into the No. 5-ranked Jayhawks’ regular-season opener at 7 p.m. Friday against Louisiana Monroe — he’s still the least heralded member of a loaded freshman class.
And if that bothers him any, well, he’s not saying much about that either.
“I always had the mindset that I could play with anybody, anywhere,” Mason said.
