Jayhawks looking for No. 1 seed during Selection Sunday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Travis Releford slowly strolled across the Sprint Center’s court, sporting his new Big 12 Tournament champions hat to go with his gray sweats. He was following his 2-year-old son, Travis Jr., who was running across the court’s confetti-filled floor.
Travis picked up his son, along with a piece of pink confetti for Travis Jr. to play with, to have as a memento of his father’s recent accomplishment. Only Travis Jr. wasn’t impressed. He threw it to the floor, perhaps hoping for a more meaningful piece of confetti in the future.
